September 20th Awareness Event
On September 20, 2007, Digital Opportunity Trust held an awareness event in New Orleans to educate the community about the work the organization undertakes in public schools. The day began with demonstrations of classroom technology integration at Audubon Charter School, the newest school to add DOT's TeachUp! program. The event was capped off with an evening reception at the historic Basin Street Station in downtown New Orleans, where guests had an opportunity to mingle with DOT's staff and board of directors, as well as hear from TeachUp! Interns and representatives from Cisco Systems and the Louisiana Department of Education.
