Partners

DOT Kenya has teamed up with various youth and community based organizations in and around the city of Nairobi to offer the ReachUp! programme. These organizations provide the necessary infrastructure – computers, internet connectivity, training rooms etc. –where the young participants drawn from their members will take the ReachUp! programme. DOT Kenya provides the interns who are placed with the different partner organization to deliver the programme.
DOT Kenya works with the alumni and placement offices of local universities and colleges to aid in the recruitment of interns. For future intern recruitment, DOT Kenya hopes to source applications from our existing community partners as well.
The Communications Commission of Kenya offered their facilities at the Kenya College of Communications and Technology (KCCT) for the intern training in October, 2006.
We are in talks with the Ministry of Youth Affairs to pilot our ReachUp! programme in 2 youth polytechnics in the rural areas, with a roll out countrywide to follow.
