Congratulations to our Graduating ReachUp! Interns
DOT Ethiopia held their graduation ceremony on July 5, 2007 to celebrate the first group of five Interns who made the piloting project a success in the country. These Interns partook in a six week training session covering facilitation, project management, coaching, advocacy, conducting research, role development, Personal Mastery, team and relationship building in Nairobi, Kenya.
After equipping the Interns with the necessary knowledge and skills, they were placed in our different DOT Ethiopia partner organizations in Addis Ababa and Awassa. These Interns then delivered the ReachUp! training program of management, coaching, leadership and entrepreneurship skills to the unemployed youth communities over the course of nine months.
Our programs have played a significant role in helping use information technology and entrepreneurial skills to curb unemployment rates and help create new jobs. Our Interns have done a superb role to help meet this major objective of the Government’s education policy. We are very grateful to these young individuals for their continuing efforts in bringing our ideas to life.
