Neusoft Technical College and DuJiangYan Model Middle School will host the first training for DOT China Interns November 16-28, 2008 in DuJiangyan, Sichuan Province, China.  All of us at DOT China and DOT Global appreciate the wonderful support , especially from: 

• the two educational centers , especially Neusoft Vice President and Dean Gem Wang and Career Center Director Sean Pang; DuJiangYan Model School Director Law and English Teacher Minshu Gao;  as well as English Teacher Zheng Wei Sun and Vice Principal Ling at Aba Teachers College

These individuals have worked many long hours to make the training a reality.

The Online Orientation training will take place on Sunday November 16 at Neusoft, which has kindly volunteered its computer lab for the session. Many of the buildings at Neusoft were badly damaged during the May 12 earthquake.  Fortunately, the computer lab building is okay.

The Face to Face sessions (Nov 17-21) will be held at DuJiangYan Model Middle School. The school has arranged for a training room, equipped with a Promethean board.  During the week of Nov 24-28 , the Interns will receive technical training in courseware and Promethean equipment at the Model school. In an extraordinarily generous gesture, the school has also agreed to provide housing for the Interns and some DOT China staff in its dormitories at no cost, during the entire training, and also for those Interns assigned to the Model school for the remainder of the school year.

The 20 DOT Interns and 4 DOT Network Specialist Interns are very excited about the opportunity to learn new skills and serve their communities.
