Why Azerbaijan Is A Unique Opportunity
As part of its 2010 Scale Strategy, DOT is expanding its operations in Southern and Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus region. The interest in the South Caucasus is a by-product of significant work performed by DOT on other projects in the region over the last 5 years.
ICT has been identified as a priority development sector by the Azerbaijan Government and the growing private sector. The Government is focused on building human capacity in ICT to deliver the national economic and social goals and the President talks of investing Black Gold in Human Gold.
In response to this need, DOT is assembling a network of local partners in Azerbaijan to provide ICT-enabled training and programs to promote digital inclusion and 21st century community-led economic, social and entrepreneurship development.
