Project Gaggle
Gaggle is a safe email environment developed for students and teachers. Teachers can create accounts for their students and have complete control over the accounts.
E-Board Success Story
My success story involves setting up an E-board for the teachers at the school. Teachers can ease into using the internet by using an easy template to upload and update students’ successes.
Project Planning
The outcome of the project plans were very successful. It helped Technology Coordinators to keep track of tasks consistently. It also helped the 21S mentor to keep up with the progress of the project.
Smartboard
One thing I learned was that the students really wanted to learn how technology works, and if engaged, they could learn anything.
MS Applications and the Interwrite Workshop
Petal School District Interns created a Workshop on the features of MS Office Applications and Interwrite Boards which was presented to teachers, faculty and staff to increase their knowledge and use of MS in the classroom.
Website Development
The 'Walk for the Animals' community service project website turned out to be a very useful and powerful resource.
School Newsletter
I chose the School Newsletter project to showcase because I feel that it serves a vital communication tool. It is a sustainable project that will allow future Interns to step right in and pick up where we left off this year.
Accelerated Reader Program
I began to understand this program, learning all of its management properties and documented this so others could easily navigate through the system.
4th Grade Powerpoint Presentations
Everything about the project worked well because the kids became more familiar with PowerPoint and now they should be able to go in a complete a PowerPoint by themselves.
School Website
This project gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of teachers and get involved with the way that the classrooms function.
Presentations Prepare for College
Watching the students gather information and get a clear understanding of what they were about to present was a great accomplishment.
LCD Projector
The school's LCD projector was made available for computer-based lessons in the classrooms.
