The Jefferson Parish Public Library provides numerous services that are available both offline and online. The Library provides free Wi-Fi Internet access, public computers, study rooms, and books and movies that can be borrowed. The Library's Web Site (http://www.jefferson.lib.la.us/) also provides various services to members including an Online Catalog, Library Policies and Services, and several online databases.

There are two ways to access the online databases from the Library's Web Site. On the right side of the main page, there is a Fleur-de-lis over the words “Online Databases” that links to the appropriate page. Additionally from the top navigation menu, you can select “Reference” and then select “Online Databases.” Both methods will take you to the login page for the Louisiana Library Connection Databases.

The Louisiana Library Connection Databases Web Site (http://lalibcon.state.lib.la.us/) states, “This service is a cooperative effort between all Louisiana public libraries and the State Library of Louisiana.” To access the various databases you must enter the library that you belong to and your card number. The page that loads will show you all the databases that are available from your Parish Library as well as the State Library.
