One of the most challenging things...

One of the most challenging things I can think of is what it must be like for people who have been displaced from where they have established their lives by disasters and other sad events. When I hear that this is happening, it makes me wonder how I would face such difficult challenges.

Two traits that have to be most helpful when facing such challenges in life are determination and hope. And with encouragement from others willing to help, the inspiration to overcome the challenge is that much greater. To me, the inspiring stories that I hear through DOT are from the individuals and organizations that have partnered with DOT and other helpful organizations throughout the world. These stories show that these individuals and groups, and the people they attract, are determined to spread the seeds of hope and determination through community education training and constant improvements to education in schools.

The stories from DOT are young people improving their leadership skills and very soon after being able to teach and encourage community members, teachers and students to see new ways of thinking about their own particular challenges.

Other stories come from DOT's incredibly generous partners and supporters such as CISCO, Canadian International Development Agency, United States Agency for International Development, IBM,  TOSA Foundation, The Kellog Foundation, Shabakat Al Ordon, Women in Technology Jordan, Computers for Schools Kenya, Nairobits, Imbuto Foundation, and Ministry of Trade and Industry Ethiopia, just to name a few!

These groups, people, and their stories, found in many of the blogs and profiles throughout the DOT website, are an inspiration to me and should be an inspiration to everyone for positive ways to overcome the hard and challenging situations we are sometimes faced with.
