DOT Ethiopia has been partners with the British Council since the beginning of the Reach Up! Training in Addis Ababa.

The first cycle training was given to participants that are member users of the British Council library. Fifteen participants were recruited, out of which 11 completed the training. Participants for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cycle of the Reach Up! training were recruited from outside the British Council. 3 community partners, namely, AAYA (Addis Ababa Youth Association), Chilanchil and Talent search have been recruiting community youth organized by them to be trained at British Council.

AAYA recruited participants for 2 cycles, 2nd and 4th cycles, Chilanchil for 1 cycle and Talent search recruited 20 participants for the 4th cycle that ended on May 25, 2007.

A total of 66 participants that were recruited from different partner organizations were trained at the British Council, out of which 44 were women while the rest 22 were men.
