The DOT Innovation Fest features creative ideas from global youth with an emphasis on innovations with potential for social, educational, or economic impact and job creation.

More than 40 entries from around the world were submitted to three categories: Grow Your Business, Grow Your Ideas, and Mobile Innovations. The submissions include such creative innovations as a mobile application for small scale farmers in Rwanda, a recycling and waste disposal organization in Kenya that hopes to hire underprivileged youth, and a charity event in Mississippi, USA that benefits foster children, among many other exciting ideas.

The 2011 DOT Innovation Fest is a celebration of collaboration, crowd-sourcing, and social media; DOT would like to invite you to get involved! Here's how:

As a part of the final selection process, each submission to the festival is being scored by a panel of judges based on the quality of discussion the innovator is facilitating in the comments.

DOT invites you to contribute to the conversation by offering your own unique expertise, suggestions, and guidance to these young leaders as they refine their proposals in preparation for the final stage of competition.
