Marianne Bitar Karam is DOT Lebanon’s Country Director. Here, she talks about DOT’s supporting partnership with the ArabNet Digital Summit 2012, which is one of the biggest gatherings of digital professionals in the Middle East.
The ArabNet Digital Summit 2012 is one of the biggest gatherings of digital professionals in the Middle East and North Africa, and I'm very glad to be a part of organizing DOT's supporting partnership with the event.
The summit, which will take place between March 27-31 in Beirut, Lebanon, will be a 5-day festival that will celebrate technology, entrepreneurship, and mobile development.
I'm especially pleased that the summit will provide young innovators in the Middle East and North Africa with opportunities to connect with incubators, venture capitalists, angel investors, established internet companies, NGOs, and influential bloggers. These are exactly the opportunities DOT seeks to expose young people to in the effort to create global networks of talented, energetic young leaders who can give back to their communities.
If you're in the Middle East or North African regions, I hope you'll join me at the ArabNet Summit in March. For more information on the summit and how to participate, please visit http://arabnet.me/conference/summit/.
